APPROPRIATE COURSES FOR COMPANIES, SCHOOLS AND INSTITUTIONS :

“The « Savoir-Vivre » (etiquette and social grace)”

The « savoir-vivre » is based on a series of rules coming from conventions imposed by tradition, and usages dictated by common sense and respect of others. The objective of social conventions is to help everyone to feel at ease by avoiding carelessness in order to know how to receive in a good way and to well behave in society, by correcting shortcomings and improving human nature qualities until its small details. The non-compliance with these rules or observing those outmoded leads to mistakes. It involves people to contempt you or to think you ridiculous and it can cause conflicts. The structure of etiquette is defined by common sense, ease, being natural and sincerity :

  • common sense allows you to know what is right, what is not acceptable and consider the « savoir-vivre » in a more humane light ;
  • ease, acquired by habit ;

  • being natural transforms politeness into a reflex, so that it does not seem like a learned, unnatural thing ;
  • sincerity, in opposition to all that is too conventional or hypocrite, is the basis of a private and professional successful life.
